Why Choose Simon
If you have got as far as this then you have seen a number of our pictures and have a good idea of the type of photographs that I take.
I love them as do our many clients and I are sure you will have seen images that you like.
But what makes me different and why should you choose me to be such an important part of your wedding day?
Your wedding day is a wonderful, magical day but lets not pretend that there aren’t some elments that will be stressful, so the last thing you want is for your photograph to add to this by interfering, posing you and generally getting in the way. I pride himself of being relaxed and unobtrusive almost to the point that people forget I’m there! That way I get the most relaxed and natural shots.
Group Shots
When it comes to group shots, if I’m being honest I dislike these as much as most couple and guests do. But I obviously understand that they are important to people and therefore I do my best to organise them as quickly and painlessly as possible in order for you to get on with the important parts of your day – celebrating with others. Most guests do not enjoy being herded around into group photographs so to counterbalance this I try and keep the formal group shots to a minimum and then during the rest of the day I will catch people in natural groups which are often far nicer and much more relaxed.
Couple Shots
When doing the all important couple shots, again I will be entirely led by you wishes. If you want to do two hours of posing then of course that can be arranged (provided your caterers are in agreement and your guests aren’t too hungry!) but to be honest, these days people would generally rather 20mins or so of these photographs and then I can spend the rest of the time capturing relaxed and informal shots of you and your and guests celebrating. I have dealt with many couples for whom posing for photographs can be stressful in itself so I do my best to relax all concerned and encourage you to chat and look at each other (which generally makes people laugh!) and that way I often capture far nicer pictures than when people are asked to look directly into the lens. Natural Shots
These are my favourite photographs to take. I love to take photographs which capture exactly what is happening that moment – using the best of the surroundings, the natural light, the emotion, and all the little details that make each wedding unique and special to you. My perfect wedding is where I have plenty of time to wander around and capture people having fun and enjoying themselves.
