We had a great day as did the couple and despite my wife being ill on the way home – we drove down the M5 happy!

The couples day started at a beautiful Church in Pentrych – where sadly I was not able to take photographs of the ceremony…

However the time spent at Pencoed House Estate more than made up for this and Amy and Pete loved the photos of their day and I enjoyed capturing despite the rain where we had to abandon the shots of the two of them. Thankfully we were able to take some more before I left them to party the day away! I now cannot wait for my next visit to this superb venue… sadly its not until 2013!!

The reception was held at Manor Parc Hotel in Thornhill and the light even held out for a few more photos there (including one larger group photo and some more of Caroline and James)

It just shows that even in the winter we get some sun in Wales and you can get beautiful photographs.

The venue is situated just off the Llantrisant road and is only about five minutes away from Canada Lakes and Lodge. Both venue have stunning grounds and are superb for photographs.

Our second venue is DeCourceys in Pentyrch on Sunday 19th February. This is a lovely venue and we have exhibited here a number of times and we hope to see you there. The final venue of the ‘Wedding Fayre’ Trilogy – not exactly ‘Three Colours‘ or even ‘Back to the Future‘ BUT we will be at The Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama on the 26th of February. Again I am excited by this one but mainly due to the fact that (as you may know from the website) that I used to work there teaching many keen minds (and some less keen) about Stage Management and Theatre! All of the fayres run from 11-4 and you will have the opportunity to chat to both Emma and me about your day.

Sadly you will not meet our daughter BUT we do have a picture of her on our stand if you look closely!!

We have 3 fayres with Create your Day during October and November with the first being at Cardiff City Stadium on October 30th. This fayre has a fashion show and many exhibitors. In November we are exhibiting at Future Inns in Cardiff Bay on the 13th.  All fayres run from 11-4 and you will have the chance to chat to both myself and my wife, Emma (who is lovely!)

We have also just booked into the wedding fayre at Canada Lakes and Lodge, DeCourceys and Royal Welsh College in February – which we are really looking forward to!

We start with a wedding at the stunning Canada Lakes and Lodge and the wedding of Sarah and Russell. I love this image and use it for advertising because you can see the absolute love in the kiss….. it also helps that the location is pretty good too!

The couple had a scorching day and were so relaxed that with the help of the venue we got many gorgeous shots including the one below which again shows the happiness of the two of them and with the help of me getting a damp suit we got this photo.

In early April i had the pleasure of spending the day on the outskirts of Brecon with Ffion and Spencer as they got married at the beautiful and superbly relaxed Penpont Estate. The day, again, was glorious and as we took the shots of the two of them I can remember having great fun and so did they. The photos below make me smile, as much because I had a good time, as they are lovely photos.

This first dance shot was used as an end shot to their square coffee table album – which they loved.

In June my wife and I (a phrase not to be missed by any newly married groom in his speech!) travelled to Pembrokeshire for the wedding of Sarah and Matthew at St Mary’s Church in Pembroke. I have blogged about this wedding already but it remains a favourite because we had a great time and it was a joy to spend the day in a beautiful part of the world with lovely people. The first picture is soooo gorgeous that it has to be include and the second picture was taken by my wife and she was chuffed that they used it for their thank you cards. This is why having a second photographer is always recommended.

When Gemma contacted me back in 2009 (with my wife newly pregnant) I thought that 2011 was a very long way off. It was not and with our daughter then 17 months I headed off to St Peters Church in Ton Pentre and found one of the most beautiful churches I had ever seen. The day was lovely and again the couple were exceedingly relaxed and happy. The photos below are just 2 of many gorgeous ones from the day. Gemma and her husband Jamie chose our A3 Deluxe art book and were delighted with the stunning album they received. A version of this in A4 size with metallic cover can be seen amongst our sample albums. The second picture is shown in the album as a double page spread – looks fantastic!

And finally, for now, a few pictures from a wedding we attended as guests and not photographers!! We were offered and decided that we were going to just relax and enjoy the wedding of our good friend Stephen and his bride Samantha. My wife has been friends with Stephen since they were both children and is constantly amused by the fact that he appears as a judge and mentor on the Sky 1 programme – Showboaters. Anyhow I took the camera mainly to photograph my family and actually have very few of the happy couple – sorry Stephen! I took the photo below after a few beers (how lovely they were too!) and as a token gesture and to prove that we were there!

The last picture was taken from the morning after the night before and I could not resist including it. Our daughter looks so gorgeous and angelic with her headband on and it is rare for her to be so still for so long – but then she had a late night (for her) on the dance floor!

The day started with Bridal Preparations and a service in the rather beautiful church of St Mary’s in Clydach. This was followed by a trip to Court Colman Manor nr Bridgend where the late August rain could not stop the fun had by all the guests. The photos below capture the fun of the day with some giving you an insight into how Rhian and Huw burned up the dancefloor with 7 minutes of camp and groovy dancing.

Rhian and Huw loved their pictures and cannot wait to receive their A3 Art Book with an Acrylic Cover BUT cannot seem to reduce the pictures they want in it to below 200….. incidentally the album is produced with approximately 80 photos of their choice. So some work still to do to get those numbers down!

What fun it was too…… I was accompanied by my wife and we both looked on in awe, admiration and amazement as Lauren threw herself into the task of ‘Trashing the Dress’! Go Lauren! The pictures below are just a selection of the 150 that we got from the day and look out for the shot of me in the water with BIG turnups and really bandy looking legs!!! It was taken by my wife and it is not a true reflection on the shape of my legs!!
