A great place to first dance – Cardiff Wedding Photographer

There is something special about photographing the first dance of a newly married couple and seeing a very intimate moment played out for their guests to see. It is also the culmination of the day photographically and, although it is not often a marvellous dance it can give great photos and an insight into their relationship. It also means (do not judge me) that I am getting closer to a glass of wine and a chance to take off my shoes and suit! The photos from below were taken at the end of a wet day with the bright and sunny Amanda and Nick. They were married at Cardiff National Museum in October and although the weather was poor the day was full of fun, laughter and a whole lot of art and artifacts!  The day was quite condensed as they did not get married until 5.30 but even so I had managed to do some steps in the museum by the time they took to the floor for their dance… and what a place to first dance it was too. Wow. I have photographed almost 300 first dances and this one had the most impressive backdrop with the pillars and large staircase behind the band. I can highly recommend the venue for a wedding as it looks great and the day ran very efficiently – which is something that is very important. Enjoy the photos and if you are looking for a photographer then why not get in touch.
