Pencoed House wedding – Amaya and Gareth

In May … wow thats a long time ago (24 weddings have been photographed by this cardiff wedding photographer since then!) I had the pleasure to have a wonderful local wedding. The fabulous couple Amaya and Gareth live only 2 minutes from my house and the church is another 2 minutes from that in the same place I was married 7 years ago. A lovely commute!

Anyway it was a fabulous day that started at Amaya’s house for bridal preparation and after the usual hour or so of make up, dresses and laughter I headed to St Margarets Church in Roath to meet the boys and groom Gareth. He looked slightly nervous but was cajoled by his best man and groomsman and they all had a sneaky wee dram to calm any of this. The ceremony was wonderful and performed with humour and love by the Vicar – Stuart, who married Emma and I and whom I see doing the school pick up from time to time.

After the ceremony their was a quick meet and greet before confetti and a short shoot in Roath park by the lake and then off to Pencoed House for the rest of the day … and boy what a lovely day too with a gorgeous couple who I clicked with when we first met. The venue was looking lovely, the food was great and the speeches were funny! What more do you need? Well I will tell you … a great first dance, disco and some shots outside with my lighting set up.
