A wedding from the archives # 2

There are some weddings where you really do just have a ball and getting great photos is easy and when you have a couple like Bernie and Chris – who just laughed all day…. even during the service! It was a brilliant day and when I left it was still bedlam on the dancefloor. The day started slightly more serenely with me at bridal preparations in St Fagans and my assistant at Pencoed House photographing the boys. The couple were then married at St Mary’s Roman Catholic Church in Canton (more laughter and fun) before heading to the gorgeous Pencoed House Estate for the reception.

When I met Bernie and Chris they stressed that they did not want lots of photos of the two of them and so for the first time ever I put the stopwatch on to time the couple shots. 15 Minutes. Thats it. I was really pleased with what we did in that time too … as were Bernie and Chris. I could talk about the rest of the day and the speeches that gave me far too many photos or the great evening shoot or even the the fantastic ‘Despicable me’ photo opportunity … (see below).

I am not going to as thats for other photographers to bore you with. Just look at the photos … enjoy them just as Bernie and Chris did. I had this lovely message from them both on their return form honeymoon –

We are back home now and have been through the pictures! We can’t express enough thanks, the pictures are absolutely amazing, they have captured the day just perfectly! We even got a little bit emotional looking through them!
