Lowden Garden Centre wedding – Chloe and Will

I loved this wedding … I was always going to of course as I know Chloe and Will and a good number of their guests and I was not disappointed. I arrived at Chloe’s parents house in Semington near Bath and it was great to get to meet up with Chloe, her six bridesmaids and her family before the ceremony and get a few photos of the bridal preparation and a few formal shots (which we managed outside in the garden) before heading off to St Michaels and All Angels Church  in Hilperton. This is where I caught up with Will as he was meeting the guests and maanged quickly to photograph him and his 8 (yes 8) groomsmen. They all looked very dapper and by the time I managed to round them up and get the shots done I had to rush to the gates to see the girls arriving. I managed a few candid shots as well as some individual photos of the bridesmaids before following Chloe into the church to get those ‘first look’ shots between the soon to be married couple. The ceremony was great and these two looked absolutely gorgeous and happy together through it. There was words and prayers from their friend Alice and some great worship.

After the ceremony there was just enough time for a quick meet and greet, a confetti tunnel (which is always fun) before having 15 minutes of time to get some photos of the two of them on their own. I was really pleased with these shots but it had very little to do with me and more to do with how wonderful they both looked. Then it was off to the church hall for tea, cake (yum) and some group photos on the playing field at the back of the hall.

The reception was held in Lowden Garden Centre in Shaw near Melksham and what a lovely place too. The garden centre was closed and we had free reign to have  another 10 minutes of shots in the garden and greenhouses.  There was also some time to get some candid shots in before everyone went in to the marquee for food. This was followed by some very fine speeches and it was easy to get the happy laughing shots I like to take. The couple then went straight into a first dance that was a ceilidh and very quickly the dance floor was full of guests getting into it and frantically swirling around trying to copy the steps … always fun to watch!

The day was great and features plenty of natural wedding photography and is a great example of what I do on a wedding day and what I capture.  Anyway enjoy the photos and hope you love them as much as Chloe,  Will and I do.
