The editing process for me is really important, and also a great way to spend my weekdays! It is important because it put the shine onto the photographs and allows the clients, to not only love the photographs but, give more focus to the shots I have taken. I am obviously making them more gorgeous but also getting rid of distractions to show what I feel their eye should look at first.
This photograph was taken before the bride – Nic, left for her ceremony at Penarth Pier. In it there is very little cropping as I was as far back against the wall as I could go and it was always going to be a wide shot. I have turned it into my black and white toning and have then burnt out and darkened the shadowed areas which are unimportant. It is not a massive amount of work but really does make the photograph stronger. It’s subtle but makes a huge difference. I hope you agree and if you are looking for a cardiff wedding photographer or know someone who is then please get in touch.
