Gemma and Ian

I love all weddings but this one this south wales wedding photographer  was really looking forward to. Not only were the couple absolutely gorgeous and that they had a fab venue but I was excited to be photographing the wedding of a professional cricketer… it was the only thing I wanted to do as a child but I was cruelly let down by an acute lack of talent (although have scored a few 100’s and 50’s in my time!!!) south wales wedding photographer

Gemma and Ian were also a joy to photograph and their choice of venues was just perfect. The day started for me doing bridal preperation photos with Gemma at The Vale Hotel. I always like the chance to chat to the bride and get to know everyone a little as it doe help make the day more fun.

From there I met Ian and his best man at St Donats Church  – again this is a great time and chance to chat to the groom and groomsmen (who are often a great help on the day whilst doing group shots etc). The church and ceremony were really lovely and after a chance for Gemma and Ian to meet their guests we headed off around the glorious grounds (and beach) of St Donats Castle. I love the time spent on these shots and it is also a good time for the bride and Groom to have a bit of air and time away from being the focus of attention – apart from my camera of course (apologies for the Dad joke – I am one, so it comes naturally!)

I had a wonderful time at this wedding and was delighted when I found out that they were delighted with the photos. To hear this always makes me smile – thanks guys and please enjoy these photos….
