Old Wedding with a New Edit # 2

The second in this series of blogs is from a wedding in 2015 and to date the wedding that had the most laughter per square inch! What a fantastic day it was too. My style on the day can be classed as natural Cardiff wedding photography. It was such a relaxed day and I can honestly say that was not the easiest wedding to photograph but that is also why I love it so much. The wedding ceremony took place in a church in Canton before going on to Pencoed House. It was crazy and Bernie and Chris only wanted to 10 / 15 minutes of photos of the two of them. This is always a challenge but I love being against the clock and think we got some really nice shots.

The edit on this wedding is strong and maybe one that I would only want to use occasionally but I do like it. The previous edit was strong but this has more of a filmic feel to it and although this is very in vogue at the moment it is a difficult one to pull off when the light is low and the sun is not shining in Wales. I love the black and white version too and this ‘preset’ (how we name colour edit profiles in Lightroom) will be called ‘Bernie’ – after the bride – who was amazing and one of the easiest brides to photograph as she never stopped laughing.

I will be doing more in this series and if you like the look of these photos and would like me to give them a go on your wedding then please let me know. Also if I happen to re-edit your old wedding then get in touch, let me know what oyu thionk and feel free to ask for the images to be sent over.

Want to get in touch then please do so here.
