Pencoed House Wedding – Sarah and John

It was a great pleasure to do the wedding of Sarah and John as although we had spoken a number of times on the phone we had never met … this is very unusual so I was slightly apprehensive as I drove to Porthcawl to do the bridal preperation shots. I need not have been! Sarah met me with a big smile and we had a quick chat and hit it off straightaway. The bridal prep was lovely and once Sarah was dressed I got back in the car and headed back to Cardiff to Pencoed House Estate to meet John. You never guess what? he was lovely too and we had a laugh whilst doing the Groom shots with his best man and I knew the day would be fun … apart from the Welsh weather. That was not fun and we had to change things around to get the shots we needed. The meet and greet was done in the bar and the staff at Pencoed House gave us a little bit more time before they turned the room round for the wedding breakfast and we managed the group shots in quick time before a very ‘up for it’ Sarah and John came outside for the couple shots. They were great and even wanted to do more … I am so glad we got this time, had such a laugh and thankfully they loved there photographs. Once these were elements were done the rest of the day was easy. There was still a bit of rain around when we did the evening shoot but as a cardiff wedding photographer I think I can cope with that and dont mind getting a bit wet.
