South Wales Wedding photographer – Hayley and David

This wedding seems like a life time ago but back in April I travelled down to Fareham to photograph the wedding of Hayley and David. I had met Hayley a few years back and when she contacted me I knew that it would be a nice day and it certainly proved that plus some. We had lovely weather, a stunning reception venue, loads of smiley guests and a best man who was my wifes best friends brother!

I had to hotel overnight in a rather nice Holiday Inn and then got to the brides parents house just after 10 to start a day full of fun, laughter and a lovely couple. Hayley and David were so relaxed all day and many of the shots I have of Hayley are my favourites of the year. Hayley looked stunning in her dress from Coco Mio Bridal in Cathays and she paired this with a massive smile all day. They got married at Locks Heath Free Church and after a wonderfully personal ceremony we all took off to Three Choirs Vineyard in Shedfield. It was a gorgeous venue and to give the couple the most time with their guests we nipped off for the couple shots whilst people arrived and then did the group shots really quickly they still looked great). Once that was done Hayley and David had loads of time to mingle with their guests. This is something I like to do so that the Bride and Groom can get the most out of the day – I don’t need to take loads of time out of the day to get great shots and by virtue of doing this I can get some really natural shots that people seem to love.

The rest of the day followed the usual pattern and with loads of laughing and good fun. The speeches were great, there was an alfresco performance on the guitair by one of the bridesmaids and we fitted in another portrait session with my lights. Unfortunately I managed to lose one of the lights as it fell in the rather muddy pond and it had to be put down shortly afterwards …

The night ended with the first dance and some very good dancing before I left and returned to Cardiff a very happy South Wales wedding photographer! Thanks to Hayley and David and their guests for a fantastic wedding and congratulations again.
