I love the fun and laughter at a wedding and this shot from the first dance of this wedding at Canada lakes and lodge is a great example of that. Becky and Darren laughed all day and it’s wonderful to watch a loved-up couple, laugh, giggle and chortle their way through the wedding. It makes my job an absolute breeze and the results are often fantastic.
The couple were deliberately photographed off centre so that I could get the festoon lighting in the photo and they happened to be positioned almost in front of one of my flashlights that give off a nice flare effect and beautifully rim lights them both. That said it is definitely not a perfect photo and that’s OK by me as long as it has emotion. I would, of course, liked it to have a more interesting background and maybe a bit sharper but I still love it as it really does show off what, I, as a Cardiff wedding photographer do on a wedding day.
