The sheer joy of getting married. These photographs from the wedding of Sarah and Nicola show this. I have known Sarah for many years now and she was my boss on a number of occasions when I worked in theatre and this moment came just after the first dance. It was amazing to see her getting married (when she never thought she would) and watching her doing a choreographed first dance. Then Sarah showed how overjoyed she really was with her new wife enjoying the moment too.
The wedding took place at the Castle Hotel in Llandovery and what is even more pleasing about the photo is that the room was quite dark so my lighting and focus assist on the camera did a great job just at the right time. This is why I travel with lighting for the dancing and some other shots of the bride and groom (and occasionally other guests!)
I love the emotion in this photo and that is what a wedding is all about for me. Emotion, fun, laughter and lots of love. That’s it for me really.
