ABOUT US

Simon from Simon Gough Photography and his family

Hi I'm Simon and these are my girls. They are what makes me who I am and I love being a husband and Dad and spending my life getting to hang out with them. Emma and I have been married for 16 years and she still laughs at my jokes and so do our gorgeous daughters! We love travelling together, eating, cooking, gaming, laughing and being together.

Since I started I have photographed over 460 weddings and shot all around the UK, although mainly try to work close to home so that I can spend any down time hanging out with my girls and good friends.

I love shooting weddings and capturing all the joy, laughter and emotion of the day. I also photograph many other things including, Theatre, Music, Opera, Families, Babies, Buildings, Products, Companies and I also have a camera with me for every family occasion! I love the variety and diversity of my work and this is matched by getting to chat to people who I am shooting or working for.

Outside of work I also like to read, watch cricket, cook, do DIY and finding charity shop bargains. I also love grapefruit, a low sun, laughing and trying not to grow up.

On your wedding day I do love photographing your dress, your shoes and all the beautiful stuff. But the biggest fun for me though is spending the day with smiling, happy people. Laughter is great. It makes for brilliant photographs.

On the day I am relaxed and informal although I think marriage itself is very serious and important but all the rest you can have a lot of fun with. If you do I promise you'll get wedding images that you will love. I also take a mean selfie and although Brides let me get on with what I do on the day - the one photo most of them want is the Instagram selfie!
