Park View Farm Wedding – Kirsty and Alistair

There is something really fantastic about watching two people you know getting married and watching the massive love they have for each other. This time it was Kirsty and Alistair who got married in Slough and it was worth every minute spent on the M4 for this Cardiff Wedding Photographer! It was a glorious day with two wonderful venues to shoot in and watch Kirsty and Alistair’s friends and family celebrate with this gorgeous couple. The day started for me at the hotel and a full breakfast … not important for the blog but it set me up for a day of really fab food!

My day of wedding photography started for me at Kirsty’s parents house and the usual photos of bride preparation, dresses, shoes and the chance to become an honorary girl for a few hours! I really loved watching Kirsty having the finishing touches of her dress and jewellery put on. The laughter and smiles were amazing and to see the brides family and bridesmaids’ faces as they watch this happen is really special. Thanks, girls!

I left the girls and met Alistair at St Paul’s Church and got a sneak preview of the band that were to play the service before having a really enjoyable shoot with the boys before I waited for Kirsty to arrive and more laughter. The service was great and very personal to the couple with lots of singing, worship and some lovely readings. The inside of the church also has such great light and photography was really easy on this summers day.

Following a quick cup of tea and cake the wedding moved to Park View Farm – which was amazingly undersold by Kirsty as a farm field with a marquee ….. which is true but it also had the most gorgeous boat house and lake that made for wonderful photos. It was a fantastic venue and sadly a bit too much of a drive for regular weddings but …. I could be very tempted if you are getting married there and want me to photograph the day!

I could talk about the rest of the day for ages but as is my want I will cut it short and let the photos tell the story. Look out for a golden sun, a bouncy castle, lots of laughing and the boat house and bridge … fantastic! Thanks guys and congratulations again.
