I have not gone quite so far back in time for today’s edit. This August wedding was from 2018! I know that (sort of) defeats the object of this whole blog but my aim in this blog was to see how this new editing style worked with my new camera – the Sony A7 iii. I have featured this edit in the previous edits of Gemma & Ian and Kelly and Andrew and really liked it. The other edits that I have looked at can be seen here. I also like these edits but have really loved working on the colour look of the wedding below. It seems to work well in many different light situations and that is probably the key to finding the right ‘preset’ (the term used for a colour edit in Adobe Lightroom) as the quality and type of light will change throughout the day. It could be artificial light that dominates the light during bridal prep and ceremony whereas all outside parts of the day will have natural light and this is massively different from the previous parts of the day. There will also be a different type of lighting during the dancing – I always bring some of my own so that I have control over this but it is coloured and different to anything else we have had during the day. So as you can see it needs thinking about to get it right.
I like the below edit from Molly and Andrew’s wedding in August and I would love to know what you think. You can get in touch here.
